Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer\u2019s \u2013 31 May 2026<\/a><\/div>\n<div data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">In Memory of Muriel Marie Lebeau (25 April 1950 \u2013 20 October 2025)<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><\/div>\n<div data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\">There is no time line to Alzheimer\u2019s. \u00a0The best any of us can do for a loved one who has dementia is to give a lot of love, comfort and nurture them through all the stages. \u00a0Through good times and bad, we have to take it one day at a time. \u00a0For the time we do have left, we have to be thankful and treasure each and every moment with them.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><\/div>\n<div data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Alzheimer\u2019s is a cruel and heartless thief. \u00a0Billy Crystal, spoke about dementia in his Broadway act \u2018700 Sundays\u2019. \u00a0He said that Alzheimer\u2019s is like having bank robbers break into your brain and steal all the things you treasure the most. \u00a0And worst still, what gets stolen can never be returned.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><\/div>\n<div data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Alzheimer\u2019s is a disease we cannot face alone. \u00a0We draw our strength from family members and friends. \u00a0As a 24\/7 care-partner for Muriel, I do not know how I would have been able to get through everything without my family\u2019s loving and caring support. \u00a0Daughters Michelle, Danielle, Dana, grand-children, great grand-children, brothers and sisters stood by their Mom, Nanny, Great-Nanny and sister through every stage of her difficult and challenging Alzheimer\u2019s journey. \u00a0They lovingly embraced her, and learned how live in her new world. \u00a0They understood the importance of continuing to love the different person she had become. \u00a0To always connect, and not correct. \u00a0To live on her terms.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><\/div>\n<div data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\">It goes without saying, that along the way, each one of us could not help but feel immense loss and heartbreak. \u00a0At the same time, we managed to keep our focus on what was most important, the countless blessings, (thanks be to God), that she gave us.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><\/div>\n<div data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\">In addition to my loving and caring family members and friends always being present, I will be forever thankful for the exceptional assistance and guidance provided by the Alzheimer\u2019s Society. \u00a0The time I spent at Alzheimer Support Group meetings, both in person and on ZOOM, helped me to better understand what was happening to my beautiful wife. \u00a0I learned to expect the unexpected, and to be prepared to go with the flow. \u00a0I did not let what I could not do, interfere with what I could do. \u00a0Every day, I made it a point to remind myself that the path I followed would always be of my choosing. \u00a0I knew that if I wanted to make Muriel\u2019s life the best it could be, I would have to make my life the best it could be. \u00a0In my daily prayers, I gave my praise and thanks to God from Whom all blessings flow.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><\/div>\n<div data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\">On 20 October 2025, while surrounded by her loving family, Muriel\u2019s courageous journey with Alzheimer\u2019s came to a peaceful end. \u00a0When she was taken from this life, she could not speak and was dependent upon others for all of her daily needs. \u00a0However, right to the end, the enlarged pupils in her eyes expressed an undying love. \u00a0It was her way of telling she recognized who we were.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><\/div>\n<div data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\">What has helped to sustain me since Muriel\u2019s passing is my steadfast belief in God\u2019s promise of being reborn into eternal life. \u00a0I believe that because of Muriel\u2019s faith, she was welcomed home into the Kingdom of God. \u00a0She was born anew, to a life where former things have passed away, and there is no more suffering, sickness or death.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><\/div>\n<div data-ogsc=\"rgb(0, 0, 0)\">On 31 May 2026, we will be walking in memory of a beautiful Wife, Mother, Nanny, Great-Nanny, Sister and Friend. \u00a0Our Team KONNEKT has set the same $10,000.00 goal as last year. \u00a0If you are able to support Michelle, Danielle, Dana and me, in this year\u2019s 2026 Walk for Alzheimer\u2019s, it would be very much appreciated. \u00a0Thank you for sharing your fondest memories of Muriel. \u00a0They remind me of how thankful I am that she lived her cheerful, kind, caring and friendly life in such a way that she will forever be beautifully remembered. \u00a0This picture of Muriel speaks
